On 4th October 2026, I'll be running the Manchester Half Marathon in support of Cancer Research UK.

Cancer has had a significant impact on my family. I never met my grandfather as he passed away due to cancer caused by asbestos poisoning, and several years ago, my dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Thankfully, his treatment has been successful and his condition is now being managed, but the diagnosis and everything that came with it was an incredibly difficult time for all of us. Seeing someone you love go through that uncertainty really puts into perspective how important support services are in a world where nearly 1 in 2 people will get cancer in their lives.
