Story
Thriller in the Villa is a fun event for the Island's community, providing a platform for local fundraising. The event sees local volunteers embrace the challenge of stepping into the boxing ring and raising funds for their chosen charity in the Villa Marina's Royal Hall in Douglas, Isle of Man.
I chose to take part in Thriller in the Villa 2026 to raise money for a great cause while getting fit in the process. It is a challenge that will push me well outside my comfort zone, but it is all for a worthwhile reason.
I have chosen to support Special Olympics Isle of Man because I strongly believe that everyone should have access to sport, regardless of their ability. Sport has the power to build confidence, create friendships, improve wellbeing, and provide opportunities that can have a lasting impact on people's lives.
This charity is particularly close to me because I am involved in coaching athletics for Special Olympics Isle of Man and have seen first hand the positive difference it makes to the athletes who take part. The dedication, determination, and achievements of the athletes are truly inspiring, and I am proud to support the organisation that makes these opportunities possible.
Over the coming months I will be training hard in preparation for stepping into the ring. It will be one of the toughest challenges I have taken on, but knowing that I am helping to raise funds for such an important organisation will keep me motivated throughout the journey.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help Special Olympics Isle of Man continue providing sporting opportunities for athletes across the Island.
Thank you for supporting me and supporting Special Olympics Isle of Man. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.
