My uncle Martin has Downs Syndrome and he has been attending clubs and social events for as long as I can remember. He has a great time being creative, singing and dancing, having fun and doing things he's never done before. It's charities and organisations like Ab Phab Youth Club that provide an environment for people with disabilities to flourish and have fun!

Why donate to Ab Phab Youth Club? Read below to read the history of the charity and the amazing work they do.

Ab Phab Youth Club started in 1997 by parents and carers of disabled children wanting a safe space for them to spend time with friends and have fun! Since then, they have grown and offer youth sessions three evenings a week, offsite trips and a residential week away.

Mission Statement: That all young people in Barking and Dagenham and surrounding areas are able to express what they want and are offered opportunities to succeed including being involved in decision making, resulting in their voices being listened to and acted on.

Aim: To provide a youth club, and associated activities for friends and families, that offer social, physical, educational and employment opportunities that meets the needs of disabled and non-disabled disadvantaged young people aged 11-18 and 19 – 25.

Young people can take part in loads of fun activities from creative arts, sports and fitness, cooking and baking to movie nights, karaoke and so much more.

Young adults on a Wednesday evening have the opportunity to access various activities and workshops to learn new skills, gain confidence and move closer towards employability.

The project will enable the young adults to be better equipped with the skills and independence needed for adulthood.

Ab Phab sessions are inclusive to suit the young peoples individual need. All the activities are carefully designed and structured to enable all young people to engage and interact with the all the activities to the best of their individual ability.
