Story
On April 27th I’m running the London Marathon, a daunting prospect, something that me two years ago would not have believed. I’m looking forward to putting my body and mind through the test of running a full marathon, testing how far I’ve come over the last 2 years. Any money anyone can spare is really appreciated by me and the charity.
The charity I’m lucky enough to run for is The McCarthy-Dixon Foundation. During the first COVID-19 lockdown, many people were suddenly faced with new challenges and difficulties and no resources to cope; The McCarthy-Dixon Foundation was initially established as an emergency foodbank to support those facing unexpected financial hardship during this time. Since then, they have evolved into a multi-faceted charity with community at the heart of everything they do - providing a broad range of supportive welfare services to those in need.
