We are moving further, faster to help everyone affected by a brain tumour

Story

The Brain Tumour Charity is the world's leading brain tumour charity and the largest dedicated funder of research into brain tumours globally. Committed to saving and improving lives, we're moving further, faster to help every single person affected by a brain tumour.

I was diagnosed with a brain tumour last august and I took a beating both physically and mentally. I was unable to use the right side of my body and had to use a crutch to get around for months, I couldn't take a shower by myself, I couldn't go anywhere myself or without my family and myself worrying for my safety. Mentally I was destroyed my self confidence plummeted due to the massive chunk out of my hair the weight I put on for being inactive for so long and the anxiety and depression I felt from losing my house was crippling.

I didn't go much into detail there but you can imagine how tough it was for me to start feeling better and even with all that I mentioned I still considered myself one of the lucky ones. My tumour was benign and I'm still breathing so honestly I can't complain.

I'm doing this fundraiser for the people who aren't as lucky as me. The people who found their tumour too late, the people who can't be saved with an operation and for anyone out there who has ever crossed paths with any form of tumour.

I did a 3000 push-up fundraiser from home last year and managed to raise £720 for teenage cancer trust and this year I've got bigger goals in my sights.

Myself and my good friend Laszlo are taking on the Glasgow Hyrox race which is an incredible feat in itself without the setbacks of brain tumour recovery. We're racing in the doubles category on march 3rd. I've started this fundraiser now as I'm asking for a lot of money which I understand with the cost of living not many can donate but hopefully within the coming months you find yourself with an little extra that could do a lot of good for others in need.

Thank you in advance to everyone who will donate / share and support.
