Connor's fundraiser for Alzheimer's Society

Connor Wright is raising money for Alzheimer's Society

adidas Manchester Marathon 2026 · 19 April 2026 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Hi, I’m Connor! Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page. I am raising money for Alzheimer’s Society by running the Manchester Marathon in memory of my great-grandmother, Hilda.

Seeing the impact of this disease first-hand was incredibly difficult for my family, so in her memory and to help Alzheimer’s Society in their work transforming the landscape of dementia care and research, I’m hoping to raise £1000 to celebrate Hilda's life and to give something back.

Alzheimer’s Society provide vital support to those living with the condition today while funding the search for a cure so that future families don't have to experience the same heartbreak.

Any donation, no matter how small, makes a massive difference.

* £10 could help provide telephone support for a family in crisis.

* £20 could help fund a PhD researcher for an hour.

* Sharing this page helps spread awareness and keeps Hilda’s memory alive.

Thank you so much for your support. It means the world to me and to everyone who loved Hilda.
