Ella Sandall is raising money for Donations With A Difference

London Marathon 2026 · 26 April 2026 ·

Donations With A Difference (DWAD) is a registered charity. We run a variety of events to raise money to fund our charitable grants that support physical health, mental health, and education improvements for individuals and organisations.

Story

I’m not a runner. In fact, my ‘cardio’ usually involves the dancefloor, the occasional headstand, and the rush to grab a cheeseburger (hold the gherkin… and the onion) before the drive-thru shuts. But in 2026, I’m taking on the actual London Marathon. Yes, the whole thing. You’ve read that correctly. No, I haven’t lost a bet before you ask.

I’m running for Donations with a Difference, the volunteer-led charity I’ve been proud to serve as a Trustee since 2022. We’re a small but mighty team who give grants to individuals, families, schools, and local charities across Kent. We fund everything from life changing medical equipment that the NHS cannot fund, to sensory tools, to Christmas gifts for the homeless and general support for those families affected. Every single penny we raise goes directly to making life that little bit (or a lot) better for someone who needs it. It’s a cause I am obviously very passionate about, so I am very much going at this head (and feet) first.

Yeah, you could say this will be quite the challenge for me. Have I started training yet? Actually don’t ask. But what’s motivating me is the fact I can get some snazzy new trainers out of it. Sore legs, questionable playlists and a new diet that involves fewer chicken nuggets and cans of Coke (I’ll take a Sprite Zero please). I just need your help to make the blisters worth it…

If you can sling a donation my way, I promise, hand on heart (or trainers on feet if you will?) it’ll go straight to changing lives. We massively appreciate any kind of donation that comes our way. Never know, deep down there might be a runner in me somewhere and you lot could be a part of the greatest showcase of human resilience in HISTORY. I’ll think of you fondly while I’m sobbing my way past mile 20.

So, 2026. I’m coming for you. Bring on the pain, the pride, and probably (definitely) a bit of swearing.

Let’s do some good together 👊🏼
