Story
I’m honoured to be running the London Marathon on April 25th 2027 in loving memory of my mum, Susan Walsh.
I know it may feel a little early to be fundraising, however, as part of being selected through Princess Alice Hospice, there was a requirement to have a JustGiving page set up by the 17th of August, which is why I’m starting this journey now.
Princess Alice Hospice cared for Mum with incredible compassion, dignity and kindness during her final days. The support they gave not only to her, but to our whole family, is something we will never forget. Because of this, the hospice will always hold a very special place in our hearts.
Over the years, my family has taken part in different fundraising events to give something back to Princess Alice Hospice and help them continue the amazing work they do for other families facing incredibly difficult times. Running the London Marathon is my way of continuing that support while taking on one of the biggest challenges of my life.
My fundraising target is £3,000, with milestones of £1,000 by 7th December, £2,000 by 1st March, and £3,000 by 30th June. As I’m running on behalf of this incredible charity, these fundraising targets are an important part of my journey. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help Princess Alice Hospice continue providing the outstanding care and support that means so much to families like mine.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my page. Your kindness, encouragement and generosity mean more than you know, and every contribution is truly appreciated. Together, we can help Princess Alice Hospice continue making a difference to so many people when they need it most, while remembering my amazing mum, Susan Walsh.
