Story
Well, I don't think either of my Grandads had me down as running the London Marathon, but there we go...
Back in 2014, I lost both my grandads to their battles with Cancer. The journey and experience throughout that year taught me everything about life, the world, and everything in between.
Both Peter and Barry had an incredible attitude towards life. Nothing was ever too big an ask, even right up until their final moments, and they always knew anything was possible. This attitude has lived on across the families and I want to take this attitude into completing the 2026 London Marathon.
The North London Hospice played a huge role in both of my Grandads journeys. Without their support, the final weeks of both of my Grandads' lives in 2014 would have been so much harder. The staff went above and beyond and deserve every credit in the world for all the work they put in with such challenging circumstances to deal with.
I am not just running for my Grandads. I am running for every single person who puts on their uniform and tackles every day at North London Hospice to give everyone the best possible support. They are real superheroes.
Any support you can give goes a long way to continuing to give people the best possible care year after year.
See you at the finish line...
