Story
I will be lacing up my running shoes and preparing to take on the highest marathon in the world at 5,364 metres (17,598ft) at Mount Everest base camp in the Himalayas in Nepal, the altitude of this race will make it extremely difficult to breathe and possibly the hardest challenge of my life to date! Nevertheless, I am filled with a deep sense of purpose. I am fundraising for the Orchid Cancer charity which covers a few male forms of cancer, specifically Testicular cancer! every step I take is in honor of those who have fought this battle & continue to fight it. On the 29th of May 2024, I will push my limits again to raise funds for this important cause.
My main focus and motivation to complete this challenge is for my friend Tom Harwood, who is currently undergoing treatment for testicular cancer. Tom is a larger than life character and if there was anyone I know who could keep the smile on their face throughout this ordeal it would be him. In the face of adversity this legendary human being will no doubt, still have a smile on his face and positively impact everyone around him with his infectious personality. My small little role to raise funds for this genuine man will be met with all my heart & determination!
With a target amount of £1,000, your support will make a meaningful impact. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those affected by cancer.
