Why I'm Raising Money?
Back in February 2024, my wife Sophie and I welcomed our first child, Sebastian, into the world. Like many new parents, we experienced a whirlwind of emotions in those first few days. There were a few unexpected health scares and complications—thankfully, nothing long-term or ongoing—but it was a stark reminder of how fragile life can be.
As a first-time father, those moments changed my perspective completely. I realised just how deeply you’d go to protect and support the ones you love. That experience lit a fire in me to give something back.
That’s why I’ve chosen to run for this incredible charity—to support young children and families who are facing real, life-altering challenges. Some families don’t get the reassurance we were lucky enough to have, and I want to do my part to help them in their hour of need.
So I am delighted to be taking part in the London Marathon 2026 with incredible Team Whizz Kidz!
Whizz Kidz is the UK's leading charity supporting young wheelchair users up to 25 years old. More than 75,000 young people in the UK need a wheelchair to be mobile. Most have no access to a wheelchair that’s right for them, leaving them at risk of social isolation, poor mental health and physical injury.
Whizz Kidz provide the right equipment, skills and confidence young wheelchair users need to go further, whilst campaigning for a more open and accessible society.
Every donation will get Whizz Kidz closer to their vision of a society in which every young wheelchair user is mobile, enabled and included.
