In Jun 2020, my mum (Sarah) suffered a severe and life-changing stroke. For 2 weeks, we were only allowed 45 mins a day on zoom to support and encourage her to wake up. We then had to face the prospect that when she did wake up, she suffered significant brain damage, completely changing all of our lives.

After a prolonged hospital stay during the pandemic with limited access to family, she has finally settled at the Marillac Neurological Care Centre. The amazing staff there cater to her medical and pastoral needs, making it her home from home.

On the 14th of July 2024, I will be running in the Solo Tough Mudder 10K+ event to raise money for all the patients at the Marillac. While I battle through obstacles and endless mud, any money you can spare will be greatly appreciated!
