The Sustainability Fund supports non-profit visual arts initiatives and spaces across Turkey, recognizing their crucial role in shaping independent contemporary art and culture.

Through annual open calls, the Fund has empowered 47 initiatives, offering no-strings-attached funding to sustain their work, exhibitions, and public programmes. In 2020, the Fund was expanded to support 21 additional projects affected by the pandemic, ensuring that cultural production could continue during one of the sector’s toughest periods. As of 2025, the Fund provides yearly grants to 12 initiatives in 9 cities, reaching communities nationwide.

Today, the Fund is more vital than ever. The rising number of applications reflects the urgent need for independent initiatives to find stable ground in a challenging environment.

We invite members of the UK-based community from Turkey to support this essential effort. Contributions help secure the future of independent cultural production and demonstrate solidarity with a vibrant art community determined to create, inspire, and persevere. With this support, we will ensure that these voices not only survive but thrive.

SAHA Association will be the project partner in Turkey to administer the Sustainability Fund.
