Story

Over the last few years we have taken part in this great event to raise money for the Severn Hospice and year on year our fund raising has got better! This year we want to beat the £6,000 we raised last year…. So please dig deep for the Severn Hospice in honour of our Anne and all the other people that they help each year.

Our story ………

After finishing 3rd at the Dragon Boat race last year Anne's Army are back with the COOL RUNNINGS theme again to raise funds for the Severn Hospice in the 2025 Race.

Feel the rhythm, Feel the rhyme, get on up, it's dragon boat time....... Cool runnings!!!!

It's been nearly ten years since Anne was diagnosed with Cancer for the second time and since taking the difficult decision late in 2022 not to have any further treatment the Severn Hospice have been there to support both her and Dad.

Anne is one of the most amazing ladies in the world who I have the privilege of calling my step mom. In her younger years she raised lots of money for charity doing everything from skydiving and wing walking through to running a marathon and even shaving her head!

I, along with several family members and close friends, have decided to do the Dragon Boat Race to raise money for the hospice during this time that they are providing so much support to Anne. I know that if Anne was in good health she would want to be in the boat with us!!

Please give what you can to this fantastic charity.

Our Team: Maxine Cosh, Owen Evans, Allan Wood, John Harris, Steve Murray, Nikki Williams, Matt Fielding, Claire Brittle, Adam Brittle, Laura Tomlinson, Sharon Marsh, Mollie Hughes, Mark Owens, Lewis Guess, Tanya, Paige Turton and Jack Trusler

Please help our crew raise vital funds for Severn Hospice! We're getting ready to ROAR in support of this important local charity.

Severn Hospice provides specialist care and emotional support for families in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Mid Wales living with an incurable illness. All their care is provided for free, but it is not without cost - they have to raise £2 for every £3 they spend. It's because you care that they can.
