Story
I’m running the Sheffield Half Marathon to raise money for Yorkshire Air Ambulance in memory of my friend and colleague Emma.
In January 2025, Emma passed away unexpectedly. During the emergency, the Yorkshire Air Ambulance attended and transported her to hospital. While the outcome wasn’t what anyone hoped for, the care and rapid response they provide in critical moments like these makes an enormous difference for families and communities across Yorkshire.
The Yorkshire Air Ambulance is an independent charity that relies heavily on donations to keep their helicopters flying and their critical care teams responding to emergencies every day.
Running this half marathon is my way of remembering Emma and supporting a service that helps so many people when they need it most.
If you’re able to donate, no matter how small, it would mean a lot. Every contribution helps keep this life-saving service operating.
Thank you for your support.
