The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Fund raises money to enhance the experience of parents and babies either through the purchasing of specialised equipment, environmental decorations and furnishings and continued education of the team.

Story

At the end of 2025, literally on 31st December, after being inspired by my son Archie who completed the last mile of the Plymouth Marathon last year, I decided to set myself a challenge and start training for my first ever 10k.

After months of early morning runs, evening runs and just sticking with it, I’m nearly there and getting ready to take on the 10k on 17th May.

Archie has signed up again this year too and will be running the last mile as part of his school challenge. He has been working really hard, running a mile each week with his marathon club at school, and will finish his final mile on the same day.

We are hoping to raise some money for the Plymouth Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. They do an amazing job supporting babies and their families through specialised equipment, improving the environment on the ward and ongoing training for their team. They were also a huge support to a lovely little boy and his family we know who arrived much earlier than expected.

Anything we can raise would mean a lot and both Archie and I would be really grateful for any support ❤️
