Story
On Thursday 7th, a group of us ran through London with a simple goal — to push beyond our normal limits and share the pain together.
It was an incredible night. We set off at 6pm and ran through the evening, into the night, and out the other side — finishing at 6am on Friday. Everyone dug deep and went further than they thought possible, hitting distances of 21k, 51k, 71k and 100k.
But running through the city tells a different story. Over the 100km route, we passed too many people sleeping rough; under bridges, in parks and in doorways. It’s hard to ignore that in a city as great and wealthy as London, this is still a reality for so many.
So I’m using this moment to try and raise a few quid off the back of an epic night with some brilliant people.
If you can spare a few quid, Shelter is a brilliant charity that provides support and care for those without a home.
