Story

My dear friend Finnian - Bee's husband and Audrey's father, explains the vital work that Child Bereavement UK (formerly Winston's Wish) does so beautifully:

"Winston’s Wish were there for me at the most devastating time of my life when I urgently needed their help in how to tell my then 4 year old daughter that her mother was going to die. At a time of immeasurable sadness, isolation and stress they talked to me, with no waiting time, when I desperately needed their help. I can only hope Winston’s Wish is able to continue to offer such vital support to anyone who ever finds themselves in the same position as I did, as a parent experiencing bereavement with a very young child. Please donate whatever you can to help Winston’s Wish continue in their work with bereaved children and young people in the UK."

The charity supports bereaved children and young people up to age 25, as well as parents grieving the death of a baby or child, through free expert guidance, practical resources and compassionate support. By combining decades of expertise, it aims to ensure no one faces grief alone, while improving access to support, advocating for better bereavement care and equipping professionals to help those experiencing loss.
