Story
In 2022 I had a Pancreatitis attack, which put me in intensive care and killed half my Pancreas. Because of the damage that was done from the Pancreatitis, I then suffered from Ascites which basically meant that I could not do anything for the next 10 months and was very unwell, I thought this would be my life but thanks to the medical care I received, I was eventually able to get back to where I was before falling ill with addition of medication for life.
And because I now can, I am going to run/walk 3 ultra marathons and while doing so climb the three highest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales.
I am doing this challenge to help raise awareness of the condition that nearly killed me as prior to becoming ill, I knew nothing about it and had not heard of this before.
Please help raise as much as possible by getting as many as possible to donate.
"We're getting to grips with guts!"
25ft is a lot of gut to understand! The truth is, our guts have been underfunded, understaffed and undervalued for decades. People are suffering, people are dying. All because of a lack of knowledge about our guts.
