Super Rare 2023 for CAN
Campaign by CAN (RCN 1176864)
Super Rare is a campaign where we are asking people to fundraise to help people affected by rare bone marrow conditions. The theme for 2023 is Stroger Together - because seven small charities are coming together to join the campaign.

Story

Congenital Anaemia Network (CAN) is a charity that connects people with rare inherited anaemias, so they can build support networks and access high quality information.

Our Assistant Bakery Manager Amy has Congenital Dyserythropoeitic Anaemia Type 1, so over Easter Half Term we are walking to Oxford, to her hospital and back (416 miles!!) to raise funds for CAN, who support others like her!

We are a group of patients, carers, doctors, and scientists who are all interested in patients with rare inherited anaemia. We want patients with rare inherited anaemias to be able to meet each other (virtually or in reality) and help and support each other. We want to give out reliable information about rare inherited anaemias and get your questions answered by doctors in the field. We want to raise money to fund research so we can better understand these conditions and improve the diagnosis and treatments available. We’re keen
