Story

102 Miles of Darkness | Cotswold Way, New Year’s Eve 2026

On New Year’s Eve 2026, I’ll be taking on a ridiculous challenge: running 102 miles along the Cotswold Way, from Chipping Campden to Bath, to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.

I’m running in memory of my dad, Tony, and my father-in-law, Dave, both of whom sadly lost their lives to heart conditions before my girls really got to know their grandads. Their loss has had a lasting impact on our family, and I want to turn that loss into something positive by raising funds to help the British Heart Foundation continue its vital work in research, prevention and treatment of heart and circulatory diseases.

Running 102 miles in a single, winter's day will be one of the stupidest thing I’ve ever attempted. There will undoubtedly be moments of pain, exhaustion and doubt, but your donations will ensure I don't quit!

Every donation, no matter how big or small, is appreciated — and will ensure I set off on New Year's Eve despite the weather when I'd probably rather be inside.

New Year's Day celebrations in Bath... when I arrive.
