Story
A team of 5 men from across the UK will take on an extreme endurance challenge this November, walking the entire Cotswold Way National Trail (104 miles from Chipping Campden to Bath Abbey), each wearing a 10kg weighted vest and 10kg backpack.
The 48-hour non-stop trek, starting Friday 21th November 2025, is part of a fundraising mission for the hospital’s specialist Children’s Burns Unit, which supports young patients and families recovering from life-changing injuries.
The Team:
Tim Cooper - South Leigh
Rhys Thurtell - Norwich
Nikos Saklabanakis - Dartford
Chayten Chather - Coventry
Achilleas iliadis - London
“That vest represents the emotional and physical weight these children and their families carry every day,” says Tim. “We want to carry it for them — and hand-deliver toys, baby products, and a massive cheque when we finish.”
The team will set off from Chipping Campden and aim to reach Bath in under 48 hours. Upon arrival, they’ll deliver:
A cheque for all donations raised
£1,000s worth of toys for the children on the ward
£1,000s worth of baby products from Bond Bloom, Tim’s own company, for families
The Goal: Raise £10,000 to directly support the burns unit and bring joy to children undergoing treatment.

About the Cotswold Way:
The National Trail covers 104 miles of hills, villages, and rugged countryside, typically walked in 7–10 days. This team will attempt it in just two, with the added strain of carrying 20kg throughout.
