Climbing for a Cause – Our Apex Everest Challenge
“It is not the mountain we conquer, but ourselves.” – Sir Edmund Hillary
This September, the four of us are taking on a huge test of endurance: climbing Helvellyn again and again until, together, we’ve scaled twice the height of Mount Everest. Between us, that’s an accumulated total of 17,696 metres of ascent—all within just 48 hours.
We’re not seasoned mountaineers or endurance athletes—just four friends with a willingness to push ourselves like never before. None of us have ever attempted anything on this scale, which makes the challenge even more daunting (and exciting).
We’re doing this as part of the Apex Everest Challenge, raising money for the High Performance Foundation—a charity that equips young people with the mindset, resilience, and life skills they need to thrive, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
We’d love your support as we take on this adventure—together, we can help the next generation reach their own “Everest.”
