Story
For over 12 years, Equippers Church Swindon has grown into a vibrant and diverse family, and now we’re stepping into an exciting new chapter—creating a permanent home that will serve our whole community.
At the heart of this vision is Count Me In, our additional needs ministry. This new building will allow us to expand what we already love doing: running creative projects, hosting our incredible Sunday sessions, and creating more inclusive events for people with disabilities throughout the week.
We dream of a space where everyone belongs. A place where our Band Experience can grow, where individuals with additional needs can be trained and empowered to help run community café days, and where sensory chapels provide a peaceful, welcoming environment for worship and reflection.
To make this vision a reality, we need to adapt the building to meet a wide range of needs. This includes creating and equipping a fully resourced sensory room and classroom, ensuring the space is accessible, safe, and inspiring for everyone who walks through the doors.
Taking on a 100k run is a huge challenge- but it reflects the scale of what we’re believing for. Every step we take is about raising funds to build a space where people of all abilities can thrive, connect, and feel truly included.
