County Arms Annual Charity Dog Show + Pass the Mic

Young's & Wooden Spoon fundraising for Pass the Plate 2026
Campaign by Wooden Spoon (RCN 326691 (England & Wales), SC039247 (Scotland))
Young's have partnered with Wooden Spoon, rugby's children charity to raise funds for the Pass the Plate Campaign to help feed the 1 in 3 children who live in poverty.

Story

Wooden Spoon is the children’s charity of rugby, funding life-changing projects across the UK and Ireland to support children and young people with disabilities or facing disadvantage.

Research shows that 1 in 10 children in the UK and Ireland have a disability and there are 3.5 million children in the UK living in poverty. These numbers continue to rise and more and more children need our help.

1 in 3 children who live in poverty – That’s 4.3 million children. The pass the plate initiative provides donations to breakfast clubs and food banks to ensure children don’t go hungry and have the energy to learn and play.

Join us on Monday 31st August, for our Third Annual Charity Dog Show as we celebrate our four-legged friends. Expect a fantastic afternoon of wagging tails, competitions, prizes, and plenty of community spirit. Whether you're entering your pampered pooch or simply coming along to cheer them on, everyone is welcome.

Continuing to support a fantastic cause Thursday 1st October we are hosting our Pass the Mic night- for an inspiring evening of Spoken Word, Poetry & Short Stories, where talented local voices take to the stage to entertain, move and inspire. Whether you're a lover of heartfelt poetry, captivating storytelling or powerful performances, this is a night to savour. Sit back with a drink, soak up the atmosphere, and enjoy an evening celebrating creativity and community, all while supporting a great cause.
