Story
I’ve officially signed up to run the London Landmarks Half Marathon on 4th April 2027 in support of Place2Be 🩷
For anyone who knows me, you’ll know this is a pretty big challenge. I’ve never managed more than a VERY slow 5k, so giving myself until 2027 felt like the safest way to make sure I actually reach the finish line and survive the 21.1km 😂
Over the 10 months, I’ll be training twice a week and dragging friends and family along with me while I attempt to become the kind of person who casually runs a half marathon.
The reason I’m doing this is because Place2Be’s work means so much to me. One in five children struggle with their mental health – that’s around five children in every classroom. Place2Be is the UK’s leading children’s mental health charity, providing counselling and support in schools and helping hundreds of thousands of children every year.
Mental health is something I’ve struggled with from a young age, and as an adult I want to do whatever I can to help give children the support they need, so they can grow up feeling happier, healthier and more confident in themselves. This cause is incredibly close to my heart.
To put your donation into perspective:
🩷 £16 could fund a lunchtime counselling session for a child
🩷 £54 could fund a specialist session for a child experiencing trauma
🩷 £500 could help 31 children access support for challenges such as anxiety, low mood or self-harm
Any donation, no matter the amount, would mean the world to me and could make a genuine difference to a child’s life.

Thank you so much for your support xxxx
Ps… is the image AI, or am I manifesting a good happy finish time. Who knows?
