Firstly, I'd like to mention that through embarking on the path to recovery from addiction, I discovered the therapeutic power of exercise as a key ally in my journey. I found solace in the simplicity and joy of running, especially amidst the beauty of nature. Running has not only brought me immense enjoyment but also serves as a powerful reminder of my resilience.

Now, as I continue on this path, I'm determined to use my passion for exercise to make a positive impact. By fundraising for a meaningful cause during my runs, I not only reinforce the strength I've found within myself but also contribute to a greater good. I am participating in the Principality Cardiff Half Marathon 2024 to raise funds for the Little Princess Trust, a charity that provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or other conditions like Alopecia. This incredible organisation is also one of the largest funders of childhood cancer research in the UK.

Every year, countless children and young people face the devastating effects of cancer. They not only have to endure gruelling treatments but also cope with losing their hair, which can be a significant blow to their self-esteem and confidence. That's where the Little Princess Trust steps in, offering hope and support by providing high-quality wigs that look and feel just like real hair.

The impact of these wigs goes far beyond physical appearance. They give these brave children and young people a sense of normalcy during an incredibly challenging time.
