Story
Leaving on 3rd October 2024, a team of 7 including cousins Mia, Alex, Sam, Jack and Auntie Sara will be attempting to summit the tallest freestanding mountain in the world, Mount Kilimanjaro, to raise money for Camphill Village Trust.
The team will be spending 8 days ascending to a final altitude of 19,340ft culminating with a brutal 17hour final climb to the summit - the ceiling of Africa! 🏔️
Camphill Village Trust supports adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health challenges. The charity offers residential and day placements, providing activities to build life skills, self esteem and support people in their home life, work, social and cultural activities. Camphill has 10 urban and rural communities and services in England, where it supports over 600 adults with learning disabilities! This year, the charity is reaching its 70th year and is massively deserving of donations and support.
We will be keeping this page updated with details of our fundraising and challenge activities - so stay tuned and thank you for visiting! The trust will be planting 300 trees in the coming year, to offset the carbon footprint we will generate! 🌳
Let the training begin…
