CoursePro, in partnership with the Swimming Teachers’ Association (STA), is proud to launch the CoursePro Learn to Swim Fund, a new initiative created to help remove financial barriers to swimming and give more children and individuals access to a vital life skill.

Swimming is more than a sport. It’s a life-saving skill, a confidence builder, and a foundation for lifelong health and wellbeing. Yet across the UK and Ireland, access to swimming is becoming increasingly unequal.

Too many children are still leaving school unable to swim. Rising living costs are forcing families to drop out of lessons, even when the demand and desire to learn is there. Swim schools and leisure operators are seeing participation fall, not due to lack of interest, but because affordability is becoming a significant barrier.

The Learn to Swim Fund exists to help change that.

By bringing together CoursePro, STA, and our network of swim schools and leisure operators, this partnership creates a practical, sector‑wide approach to tackling these challenges head-on.

Funds raised through this campaign will be held in a central JustGiving pot, with STA acting as the registered charity. Donations will be used to subsidise or fully fund swimming lessons for children and individuals who would otherwise be unable to access them.

Lessons will be delivered through existing swim programmes run by CoursePro and STA customers, ensuring support reaches communities quickly and effectively. Initially, the fund will focus on school swimming and early‑stage learners, where early intervention has the greatest long‑term impact.

Every contribution helps open the door to swimming — building confidence, safety, and opportunity in and around the water.
