MAY UPDATE - Thank you everyone for your immense support of this incredible race and initiative. After discussion with GOSH, and having not quite met the total amount needed to fund a surgery, the most pressing need that can be met with the amount of money raised is for the SDR-adjacent physio. Using £4,800 of the funds in this way will no doubt help improve the recovery and success of the SDR surgeries that are taking place at GOSH. Thank you everyone for your generous support.

The Kingsley's has been a cornerstone of the Wellington College calendar for over a century and a half. It is far more than a 5 kilometre cross-country race through extreme terrain; it is a testament to the community, passion and tradition that is ever-present in our school.

5 years ago, OW and trailblazer David Lofthouse - who was born with Cerebral Palsy - did the unthinkable and completed the entire Kingsley's circuit walking the 5km in under 10 hours. Whilst David has since left the college, the impact of his feat continues to inspire and uplift others.

So, to mark the 5 year anniversary of David's Walk, this year's rendition of the Kingsley's will see 4 Picton boys attempting to run the it 10 times in a row, a 50km ultramarathon appropriately dubbed the 'Ultra Kingsley's'. The purpose of this is not only to pay homage to David's monumental accomplishment, but to raise money to improve the lives of the thousands of other children across the UK that suffer with Cerebral Palsy.

Your donations will help fund a life-changing Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy surgery with Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital, all integral parts of the CPT mission in changing lives for the better.
