I'm taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge to support Crisis, our national charity partner, and to help tackle homelessness across the UK.

Earlier this year, I had the opportunity to visit a Crisis centre and see first-hand the impact of their work. Hearing people's stories and learning more about the challenges many face in finding and keeping a safe place to live was both inspiring and humbling. It reinforced just how important Crisis' work is in helping people rebuild their lives and move towards a more stable future.

At Irwin Mitchell, we've made a long-term commitment to Crisis because we want to create meaningful and lasting change. Crisis provides practical support, education and employment opportunities to people experiencing homelessness, helping them rebuild their lives, while also campaigning for the long-term changes needed to prevent homelessness in the first place.

I'm fortunate to be in a position where I can help raise awareness and support for causes that matter. I believe businesses have an important role to play in supporting the communities around them, and our partnership with Crisis is about much more than fundraising. It's about bringing together our people, skills and energy to help more individuals move out of homelessness and towards a safer, more secure future.

Through this challenge, I'm supporting our firm's "Go the Extra Mile" campaign, which aims to raise vital funds for Crisis and the frontline services they provide to people experiencing homelessness. Every donation will help support practical advice, housing assistance, education, employment support and the guidance people need to regain their independence.

The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge will be a significant personal test, but it's nothing compared to the challenges faced every day by those experiencing homelessness. If taking on this challenge can help raise funds, awareness and support for the remarkable work of Crisis, then every step will be worthwhile.
