Story
I am one of eleven local businesspeople who have been put behind bars for Maggie's. I've been found guilty of singing around the office, and sent down with bail set at £1,000.
With only my phone, laptop and my powers of persuasion, I need your help to raise funds to pay bail and escape jail.
As a member of the Maggie’s Fundraising Board, when I was asked to take part in this fundraiser I jumped at the chance. This charity is particularly close to my heart, as I have lost some very close family members to this awful disease.
If I can play my part in any way to help raise as much funds as possible to help individuals and families through the challenges of this disease I would be honoured to be locked up in jail all day! I’m looking forward to my day in jail and hopefully my singing can keep the spirits up of my fellow jail or bailers.
For many people living in the Northeast, Maggie's Aberdeen is a beacon of hope, offering a unique programme of practical and psychological support, available free of charge to people at any stage and with any type of cancer, and to their family and friends.
In the past decade Maggie’s Aberdeen have received over 80,000 visits, provided tens of thousands of hours of 1-2-1 psychological and specialist cancer support and raised £9,000,000 in financial gains for local people. They rely entirely on voluntary donations and gifts in wills to fund their work, and with instances of cancer 1 in 2 people, there is huge demand for the support they provide. Please bail me out and help Maggie’s – every £ will help.
