I am honoured to be raising money for the Dylan Rich Legacy Fund. Dylan was one of my son Callum’s best mates throughout school, playing football and parting. Dylan tragically died in September 2021, age 17, following a sudden cardiac arrest while playing football in an FA Youth Cup match for West Bridgford Colts.

Dylan’s family Mike, Anna and Lucy are, like Dylan, inspirational people. They have gone on to set up a wonderful charity that supports wildlife conservation and uses sport to enrich the lives of the most in need in Nottingham and Africa https://dylanrichlegacy.co.uk/

Having discovered a passion for triathlon 3 years ago, I have taken on the ultimate (and daunting) challenge of a full Ironman, which for those of you unfamiliar involves a 3.8 km sea swim, followed by 180km bike ride before finishing (hopefully!) with a full marathon https://www.ironman.com/races/im-les-sables-dolonne My training programme started in earnest in November 2024 and has become ever more intense and all-consuming as race day of 22nd June draws ever closer.
