Story
In July 2000 I was transferred from Dryburn Hospital to The Freeman Hospital in Newcastle under the care of Mr Pickard and The Urology department there i underwent major surgery to repair my bladder following a Road Traffic Accident i was in Theatre for over 7 hours if the operation didnt work i faced spending the rest of my life with a super pubic catheter thankfully the operation was a success, sadly in 2017 Mr Pickard passed away so ive decided this years fundraising will be for The Freeman Hospital in Newcastle to show my appreciation for the fantastic care i received from The Urology department at The Freeman Hospital so I'll be taking part in two events to raise money for The Freeman Hospital, in June I'll be heading to Leeds to take part in Total Warrior which is a 7 miles obstacle course then in September I'll be taking part in my 9th Great North Run all donations will be greatly appreciated for the fantastic hospital that changed my life forever 💙
