North Coast 500 · 9 September 2024

Alzheimer Scotland is the leading, national dementia charity in Scotland. Our mission is to make sure nobody faces dementia alone. We provide advice, information and support and we are here for people living with dementia, their families and carers across Scotland.

Story

Firstly, thank you for taking the time and being generous enough to donate some funds no matter how big or small the donation, every penny counts!!

So as many of you may already know and for those that don’t myself & David are going to be cycling the north coast 500 in September this year in 5 days.

The reason we will be taking on this challenge is to raise some money and awareness for a horrendous illness, Alzheimers, which unfortunately is so close to home with my mum being diagnosed with the condition last year. An amazing, caring woman so undeserving of such a cruel illness, an illness she knows only too well after working as a carer for patients with Alzheimers for a number of years.

Alzheimers is a truly heart breaking illness which not only affects the person suffering from the condition but the friends and family closest too. Some people suffering from the illness may not have such a devoted husband or close family to help so lets raise some money for a charity which does help and depends on generosity from all of us
