Story
Over ten years ago my sister was diagnosed with leukaemia. She was amazing throughout and after a series of treatments and a stem cell transplant she recovered. This was only possible thanks to incredible scientific breakthroughs and the hard work of charities like Cure Leukaemia.
To help raise funds for Cure Leukaemia, I'm cycling 500km from London 2 Paris from Thursday 5th - Sunday 8th June 2025, because every 14 minutes, someone in the UK is diagnosed with a form of blood cancer.
I used to ride my bike regularly but have got a little unfit over the last few years so this is going to be a real challenge for me, but one that will hopefully help raise a lot of money for Cure Leukaemia!
Every penny I raise will go towards funding specialist research nurses at 15 blood cancer centres across the UK who connect patients with the latest treatments through clinical trials.
Not only do these trials save lives they also help hasten global progress towards eradicating all forms of this disease.
