We support LGBTQ+ young people to live healthy, happy and creative lives

Story

The Kite Trust is a local charity that support the wellbeing and creativity of LGBTQ+ young people in Cambridgeshire, Peterborough and surrounding areas through information, support and groups. They build inclusive communities to tackle inequalities through consultancy, training and education to all sectors.

Over the weekend of the 19th of February 2023, the charity's office and youth work hub in Ely was the victim of one of a series of hate crime attacks, having one of their windows smashed where a pride flag was displayed (this also happened to other businesses in the town). Due to an issue with insurance, the charity will be expected to pay for the repairs themselves.

In the wake of the awful things that have happened across what should be a celebratory LGBTQ+ History Month, we at Cambridge Rollerbillies believe we have a responsibility to support the LGBTQ+ community, and would therefore like to fundraise for the repairs.

We look forward to also welcoming the charity to our home game on the 11th March, where you can find out more about what cool things they are up to and how you can further support them.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
