Story
Did you know a single bale of hay costs £5?
By donating you will be helping us keep our herd of 12 very special ponies fed and warm over winter. Ponies and horses need to eat more hay during the colder months as this keeps them warm, a bit like using wood to keep a fire burning!
Help us reach or goal of £600 in our 60th Anniversary year!
At Cotswold Riding for the Disabled, it’s what you CAN do that counts. As one of the largest RDA centres in the UK, we offer riding lessons to over 150 riders per week, supported by our team of over 180 volunteers and herd of 14 very special ponies. We operate from the grounds of Cheltenham Racecourse, with our arena centre located just past the steam train site. Our riding weekly riding schedule runs from Monday to Saturday, with our additional after-school lessons taking place three nights a week. Our Mechanical Horse “Sedbury Shadow” also provides riding lessons throughout the week, allowing us to expand our client base further. We also offer non-mounted equine activities to children and adults living with a disability. These include our Pony One-to-One session, ASDAN accredited qualifications in Horse Care, and the now-nationwide RDA activity “Tea with a Pony”.
