Cris's fundraiser for Sense

Paris Marathon 2025 · 13 April 2025 ·
For the past decade, running has been a big part of my life - my passion and my challenge. I've pushed my limits through countless marathons, ultramarathons, and triathlons, always seeking that next personal best. But this year, I decided to take a step back and reflect on my journey and my values.
During this time of introspection, I realized that while running has given me so much, I wanted it to mean even more. I wanted my efforts to create a positive impact beyond my personal achievements. That's when I discovered that I could combine my love for running with causes close to my heart, including environmental awareness, supporting people with disabilities, and helping children without homes.
This realization led me to Sense UK, a remarkable charity that empowers individuals who are deafblind or have complex disabilities. Their mission to help these individuals communicate, experience the world, and fulfill their potential deeply resonates with me. I've seen firsthand how environmental barriers can impact people's lives, and I'm inspired by Sense UK's commitment to breaking down these obstacles.
So, I've decided to lace up my running shoes once again, this time for the 2025 Paris Marathon. But this run is different. It's not about personal records or competing against others. It's about running for those who face daily challenges that many of us can't imagine. It's about raising awareness and funds to support Sense UK's crucial work.
I'm humbled by this opportunity to make a difference. Every step I take in training and during the marathon will be dedicated to those who Sense UK supports. I'm passionate about this cause and excited to channel my years of running experience into something greater than myself.
I would be incredibly grateful for your support in this endeavor. Together, we can help create a world where everyone, regardless of their disabilities, has the chance to live life to the fullest. Your encouragement and contributions, no matter how small, will make a significant impact on the lives of those Sense UK serves.
Thank you for considering supporting me in this meaningful journey. Let's run together towards a more inclusive and understanding world.
