Cross Cymru 2024: The run across Wales, 25 May 2024
We provide suicide prevention resources to help prevent suicide in the UK

Story

On Saturday May 25th, Callum Davies, Finn Gibbens and Richard Austin will be attempting to run 73 kilometres (45 miles) from the England/Wales border to the west coast of Wales, all in a single day. This is in aid of CALM, a charity that provides crucial support and services for men's mental health.

This daunting challenge, which we've coined 'Cross Cymru', will mean running across the whole of Wales in what is essentially a straight line from east to west. The route will start in the border town of Anchor, in Shropshire, and end in the coastal town of Aberystwyth. The distance will almost total that of two marathons, with the elevation of more than one and a half Snowdons.

We've each taken part in running events before, but wanted to set ourselves an incredibly tough challenge that would also give us the opportunity to raise money for a charity that we're all personally fond of. Running is a great tool for our own mental health, and there's the opportunity here to support a charity that does so much good.

Thank you for reading and for your support!
