Charity Workouts with CrossFitBude · 31 May 2025

We support the work of Royal Papworth Hospital as the UK’s leading centre of excellence for the treatment and diagnosis of cardiothoracic disease, to provide additional amenities for our patients and their families and to fund Papworth’s pioneering research activity and vision for the future.

Story

After our very successful quiz night before Christmas, this is the second charity event. The triple fundraising effort is in honour of my late Father and Mother, we are raising money for the Royal Papworth Hospital in Cambridge who treated my father last year and had looked after mum in the past.

The 24 Hour WOD

We will be doing one workout on the hour, every hour, so 24 workouts in total.

Myself (Jeremy) and a few others from CrossFit Bude will be attempting all 24. We would love your support in any way you can provide, maybe join us for 1 or a few workouts or if you are brave all 24!

If you wish or just to come and cheer us on as we will definitely be needing it.

North London to Bude Cycle

On Wednesday May 28th at 10am, Costa (one of our CrossFit Bude members) and three friends, Iggy, Kane & Tom, will be taking on an epic challenge: cycling 250.75 miles from Muswell Hill in North London to their parents house in Jacobstow, Bude, all within 24 hours!

We’re teaming up with CrossFit Bude to raise as much as possible for Royal Papworth Hospital, an incredible cause that changes lives!

It’s going to be a gruelling ride, but every mile will be worth it. They'd love your support!

Half Marathon Row

Ozra ( Costas mum) one of our legends will be attempting a half marathon row when we start the 24hr challenge at CrossFitBude. Ozra is starting at 12pm on Saturday. She has been training hard and will need all the support she can to complete this

About the Royal Papworth Charity...

Royal Papworth Charity exists to support the ground-breaking work of Royal Papworth Hospital. With increasing pressures on the NHS, the Charity plays a vital role in ensuring that the Hospital continues to provide the highest standards of care by investing in staff development, improving the Hospital environment for their patients and supporting research into new ways of treating heart and lung disease. Their patients, the families and the staff are at the heart of everything they do, this is all made possible by the generosity of our supporters.
