20 members of the hard working and dedicated team of NHS nurses, doctors, paramedic, healthcare assistants and management team of Croydon University Hospital Emergency Department are embarking on a team challenge to help support their wellbeing by training together for a half marathon in Spring 2025.

The team will run the Hampton Court Half Marathon on the 23rd of March 2025 which will start inside the gates of Hampton Court Palace and finish in its beautiful gardens.

Their challenge aims to raise £10,000 for Croydon Health Charity’s ED Fund to support staff wellbeing. Improving staff wellbeing will only have a positive impact on our patients that we care so much about, and it will help us to keep working to the best of our abilities even during the toughest of shifts.

One of the major challenges for this team will be training alongside working tirelessly on the front line doing shift work in a busy Emergency Department. For many on the team, this is the first time that they are taking up running, so please help keep them motivated with a donation, no matter how big or small!
