Help the Child assists disabled children in Somerset to maximise their full potential through the provision of specialised equipment and educational toys. All trustees are volunteers and work closely with NHS therapists, providing equipment that the NHS is not able to provide.

Story

You've reached the fundraising page for WATCHET, CRS Building Supplies store.

As the festive season approaches us, we are excited to introduce a truly heart-warming opportunity to collaborate with us for a great cause!

You may be aware there are shortfalls, which fail to fill the gap between statutory funded items provided by the NHS/Social Care. Therefore, we have chosen to create an event which will raise funds for the charity ‘Help the Child’

We have a personal connection to this cause which we would like to share, that underscores the incredible work of this charity.

Melody, has been a beneficiary of the remarkable services provided by ‘Help the Child’. At just 2 and a half years old, Melody underwent a challenging operation to remove a brain tumour. And as you can imagine, the journey has been undoubtably tough for Melody and her family. Melody (now a non-verbal seven year old) uses a device to communicate her wants and needs with her family. It has proved to be a life-changing piece of equipment, funded by ‘Help the Child’

I think you’ll agree that without these organisations many children with disabilities would lack vital equipment to help them reach their full potential in life.

Join us in helping other children, who deserve life changing equipment!
