Claire Stephens is raising money for MindOut
Story
Claire Stephens (aka Crystal Claire) will host an open mic charity event on World Poetry Day in the cafe/lounge at The Ledward Centre in Brighton, a well known safe space for the LGBTQ+ community.
Claire is keen to support the community with their mental health challenges and to help promote healthy minds. She'll share some poems and stories she has written about her own journey which began in 2013 at The Marlborough (now known as "The Actors").
My friends know I have for many years struggled with the black dog of depression and I'm happy to say I am now strong enough to talk about mental health issues and do my best to help people have healthier minds. I look forward to welcoming you to the Ledward Centre on Thursday 21st March.
The event starts at 5:30pm and the cafe will be open for tea, coffee, soft drinks and snacks until 7:30pm.
