During a recent clinic hosted by CSC, one of the riders attending had an unplanned dismount, resulting in the need for us to require the services of our hardworking emergency services.

Following a substantial wait time due to the pressure of calls received that day, the Air Ambulance was despatched to the scene to provide care to our rider due to her condition deteriorating.

It isn't until you need their services do you realise how invaluable they are. As riders, whilst we hope we stay on board, we all know how easy it can be to have a fall, and sadly these falls can be serious. Most of us know someone who has had their life saved or received critical care from this fantastic service.

COVID has affected charities like the Air Ambulance drastically, as it has reduced their ability to fundraise through their usual channels. Calderdale Saddle Club want to do our bit to support this fabulous charity, whose only means to survive is through charitable donations.

Whether you ride, have a loved one who rides, or simply step outside of your front door, whilst you hope it is never the case, one day you may require the services of this amazing charity, so please help to support our fundraising effort.

You can simply donate an amount of your choice to our page, or alternatively purchase raffle tickets for our raffle that will be drawn at our AGM in January (please visit our Facebook page for the amazing prize list). Tickets are £5 per strip or £10 for three. If you wish to purchase raffle tickets please donate and then text a screenshot of your donation, along with your email, best contact number and full name to 07767 647299, you will then be sent your raffle ticket numbers by text, we'll aim to respond within 3 days with your numbers.
