C Social Removes Cycle/row to Paris · 13 October 2024

The reality is that only 10% of children in low-income countries are able to read by the age of ten. We desperately need to support teachers’ development, which will improve children’s learning. We support teachers to provide children in lower-income countries with a better education.

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

The C Social Removes will be collectively Cycling/Rowing to Paris. Six of us will be rowing the distance of the stretch of the channel (as the Crow Flies) from Oxford to Paris, and the rest of us will be cycling the remainder of the distance on WattBikes.

The distance from Oxford to Paris is just under 400km, and the width of the English Channel at that point is 120km, so the rowing group will have to do 20km each, and the cycling group will have to do 35km each. This Event will take place on Sunday, October 13th, 2024.

We will be raising money for The Commonwealth Education Trust, a charity that provides education and training for teachers in countries less fortunate than ours. Your money will be used to provide training for teachers to aid schools that need them most.

Once again, thank you for taking the time to donate,
