Gainsborough Half Marathon - Guinness World Record Attempt

Luke Hutchinson is raising money for The National Association For Children Of Alcoholics

Gainsborough Half Marathon - Guinness World Record Attempt · 1 November 2026

1 in 5 children in the UK are affected by their parents' alcohol problems. They are often frightened and isolated, with no one to turn to for help. Nacoa responds by providing a free, confidential telephone, 1-2-1 chat and email helpline.

Story

On Sunday 1st November, I'm taking on a slightly unusual challenge... 🏆

I'm attempting to break a Guinness World Record for the fastest half marathon dressed as a rotating cube, with the current record standing at 1:44:33.

It's taken months of training, planning and spending far too much time thinking about how to build a Rubik's cube you can actually run in - but with plenty of help from my Grandad, who help me build the outfit!

Alongside the attempt, I'm raising money for Nacoa, a charity supporting people affected by their parents' drinking. It's a charity that's particularly close to us as a family, so I'm really pleased to be supporting them through this challenge.

Every donation is hugely appreciated ❤

One small step for man, one giant leap for cubes of all kind.
