In the UK, bowel cancer claims over 16,000 lives each year, and more than a million people live with bowel diseases. Earlier this year, our mother was diagnosed with bowel cancer, making the mission of Bowel Research UK deeply personal to both of us. Over the coming months, leading up to April, my brother and I will be undertaking a series of fundraising activities and challenges, with the ultimate aim of raising over £5,000 together to support their crucial work, culminating in running the London Marathon.

Bowel Research UK is at the forefront of life-changing research into bowel-related diseases. It will help save and improve lives, and hopefully eventually prevent anyone in the future from having to suffer from this.
