30 Miles. Two Offices. One Brilliant Cause.
Last December, at the Children’s Adventure Farm Trust Ball, Cullimore Dutton pledged to raise £500 for CAFT.
We could simply have written a cheque.
But where’s the fun in that?
Instead, we’ve decided to take on a challenge that means something to us as a business and see if we can double our original pledge and raise £1,000 for this brilliant charity.
2025 marked an exciting new chapter in Cullimore Dutton’s long history when we expanded beyond our Chester roots and established our Knutsford business at Booths Park.
Now, in 2026, that journey takes another big step as we prepare to open our permanent Knutsford home at 44 King Street.
So our fundraising challenge seemed obvious…
We’re making the journey from Chester to Knutsford – on foot.
At midnight on Thursday 1 October, as the clock ticks into Friday morning, five members of Team CD - four of our Directors and one of our paralegals - will swap the office for walking boots and set off together from our Chester office on the journey to our new Knutsford home on King Street.
Thankfully, we’re not going into this completely unprepared! Our Operations Director Steve and our Paralegal Sarah Gill, are both seasoned endurance walkers/runners – so the rest of us will be relying heavily on their experience (and probably their patience!) as the miles start to add up.
The challenge will be a real team effort. Some will take on the full 30 miles, while others will move ahead during the day to prepare for the arrival of our Chester colleagues in Knutsford, rejoining the walkers for the final arrival into King Street.
And there’ll be quite a welcome waiting for them! Later that day, our whole team will come together in Knutsford – seeing our new home and celebrating this next chapter in Cullimore Dutton’s story.
For us, this walk is about much more than getting from A to B.
It’s about our journey. Our people. Our communities. Our roots and heritage began in Chester, but they now extend into Knutsford.
And, importantly, it’s an opportunity to support a wonderful charity.
CAFT creates unforgettable experiences for children who, because of illness, disability or social disadvantage, may miss out on some of the ordinary joys of childhood.
We pledged £500. Now we’d love to double it.
So please get behind our walkers and help us reach £1,000 for CAFT.
Every donation, whatever the amount, will help. And somewhere around mile 25, we suspect every one of them will be very gratefully received!
