Fundraising for Great North Air Ambulance Service

We deliver pioneering pre-hospital care to severely injured or ill patients.

Story

The CAAN are planning a Fitness Fundraising Event to raise money for our chosen charities Springfield Domestic Abuse & Great North Air Ambulance Service. We will be split into two teams, one for Westmorland and Furness Council and one for Cumberland Council. Both teams will compete against each other to collect points through exercising and tracking there tags through StreetTag.

Street Tag is a mobile app that combines elements of location-based gaming, fitness tracking, and competition. Players can earn points by visiting virtual tags in various community locations, including green spaces.

The app automatically collects points when a player is within 40 meters of a virtual tag, and players can also earn points by syncing their steps with the app. These points are tracked on a real-time leaderboard, allowing players to see how they compare to others in their team.

The Great North Air Ambulance Service keeps families together by saving lives. We provide critical care to the people of the North East, North Yorkshire, Cumbria and the Isle of Man.
